Bullet journaling commonly known as “BuJo” has been a big trend on social media lately. While we have all heard a lot about it, here’s a little more about BuJo which you probably didn’t know of before.

How It Started

The inventor of bullet journaling is Ryder Carroll, who had been diagnosed with ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) and was compelled to find a better method to increase productivity and concentration.

Years after finishing college, he started a website & posted a video explaining the method he created called “Bullet Journaling”. It soon went viral, and now people around the globe adopt this method on a daily basis.

How To Start Your Own Bullet Journal

What You Need:

  • A notebook (preferably blank)

  • Pens / markers

Additionally (but not compulsory) :

  • Colour pencils / paints

  • Stickers

What You Need To Create:

1] Index Page : this will include a list of everything that the book contains - the months, the task lists, future logs etc along with their page numbers.

2]Future Log : this contains a small space dedicated to each month. For example, in the space provided for January you will list all the important dates, events, birthdays that take place in Jan. You will need to do this for all 12 months.

3]Monthly Log : The monthly log requires 2 pages.

On the 1st page you need to write down the dates of the month. So for example, in January you’d have to write the dates from 1st Jan to 31st of Jan. Next to the dates, include which day of the week it is.

On the 2nd page, write down the tasks you need to complete this month.

4]Daily Log : this contains the tasks you need to do on a daily basis. Each page will include the date and the particular tasks that need to be completed by the end of the day.
